YAGSA Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 Check Samuel Chambers at Johns Hopkins. He taught a seminar on Marx last academic year, and last semester I took his Frankfurt School seminar and it was pretty good. There are other people in the department who know Marxist and critical theory very well.
rus949 Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 The world moved on from this 20 years ago. Not trying to be mean, but that's reality from the American perspective. Critical approaches can inform research in many ways, but beyond this, there are no major departments where Marxist/Critical approaches are going to be the central paradigm of analysis. Darth.Vegan Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 If you don't care about rank, UH Manoa is very critically focused. Prof. Shapiro and Prof. Ferguson among many others would be a good choice!
Jwnich1 Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 I sent the OP a private message about this but for everyone else consider Rutgers for Marx / critical theory. They have Steven Bronner and several others.
