University hasn't received GRE score report though my ETS account says that it has reported the scores 4 months before. What to do?

I've submitted my application on November 7th, 2011. Just today I checked my application status and it states that the application is incomplete and that the GRE scores haven't been received yet. The toefl scores, transcripts, recommendations all have been received except for my GRE scores. What should I do? I sent out all my scores way ahead. How can this happen? Will this affect my chances of getting an admission? Should I contact ets? they don't have any email or number for "score reports delay or problems" I even checked the institution codes, I've got all of them right. Maybe it's because I sent out my GRE scores way ahead (August 2011) but I submitted my application just recently. Should I send the scores again? please help!

I'm not sure, but I'd consult with the program's administrative assistant, or the Graduate School where you're applying. Ask what might help them get your scores on time. Is it possible it was sent to the Graduate School but not the right department? Can they do anything about it? Do they recommend you send the scores again? Write them an email. They might even say they already got them and just neglected to update the app website (that actually happened to me once)...

I'm afraid I read some bad things about ETS here, and how useless they are in dealing with problems. So I'd first try with the university.

This happened to me and I called ETS and was able to get them to grant what they called a "one time exception" and send a duplicate set of scores to the school for no charge. I think it's worth a shot.

Otherwise, you might consider calling the school and informing them of your situation. If you let them know you submitted your scores on such-and-such a date, they might be able to find them.

I have contacted the graduate school, they have replied that they have not received my scores and that they have checked all the departments. Now I have to contact ETS. I also have a score report mailed to me in paper format which clearly states that the score has been reported.

Hey is your problem with UC Berkeley because I have the exact same problem. I sent my GRE scores some time in early September, and my status was updated to "Received" after about a week. I only received my Toefl score in October, and my status was also updated. However just a few days ago I notice my GRE score status was changed to "Not received" and I am very panicked. Don't know when and why it's like that. I also received a mailed score report with the list of schools where I wanted it sent.

So you contacted the grad office and they said they never received your scores? How could that be? I guess I should try to contact grad office asap, and if the same thing happen I have to give ETS a call.

I contacted UCB and fortunately they have found my scores! Status has now been updated :-).

Nice to know that at least you're happy! well I contacted both ETS and the university. And like iamincontrolhere-haig said they have granted me a "one time exception" and sent the scores again. Now I'm hoping that the university will receive it. They told me to check my application status to see if the scores have been received. Am keeping my fingers crossed
