The first day is booked with tours and classroom observations and interviews. If I get in, this visit may be the only preview I have to the city before I move there. As a potential grad student, what would you do with one day near the school or on campus? What should I look for? What do you think might be most helpful to me if I end up moving there? Since they are in your dept, they might share your interests... I did that when I had less than a day at one of my schools and got to check out the coffee shop, bar, sushi place, and library where most people in my dept like to hang out.
