Just a heads up not to wait until Thursday's deadline.

Also, what is that little note about how at least 2 of your GRE scores should be 90th percentile or higher? Does that mean 2 as in math and verbal, or 2 as in GRE subject and GRE verbal?

I know they don't mean math and verbal. Of course they don't!

And I love how they switched their deadline from 1 January to 15 December suddenly a few months ago--I'd already planned out when I needed that writing sample in--more difficult because there are two required but with a max page count of 25. So frustrating, but mine's in the mail. Yay!

I am less happy about the GRE note--I don't come anywhere close with my subject test score and I thought that mattered very little. Oh, well--nothing to be done now.

They might mean 5.5 or 6 on the writing, which is over 90th percentile, and much, much easier to reach than on the subject or the math sections. They'd be crazy to suggest applicants should earn a 90th percentile or better on the subject because there are just too many good candidates who score below that.

Well, let's hope that "due December 15th" really means -- "writing sample postmarked December 15th." I just hope my statement of purpose wasn't so awesome, that they are tearing through the mail over in Charlottesville, wondering when my writing sample will arive?
