A Finicky Bean Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 Hi! I know this is OT, but I wanted to know if anyone here is attending and/or presenting at the PAT Biennial in Florida this January? I'll be presenting and I'd love to meet some folks for dinner/drinks/whatever!
Hopin'-n-Prayin' Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 So close! I had a paper accepted and was planning on toting the wife and kid there, but then I graduated and my school pulled my funding b/c I am no longer a student- so I had to w/draw from the conference... (btw...on all my apps, I listed this as "conference paper accepted, unable to present"...lol...didn't want to lose a chance to add some width to the dossier...)
A Finicky Bean Posted December 28, 2011 Author Posted December 28, 2011 Ah, ADMITedlyLucky- it would have been nice to hang out! No one else is going to the Phi Alpha Theta Biennial? Hmmm...perhaps you are all going to the AHA conference instead?
SapperDaddy Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 PAT conferences are great, but never been to the ones in Florida. Great place to get your feet wet presenting a paper without having people looking to stomp all over it.
Simple Twist of Fate Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 Just got back from the PAT Biennial (I haven't been checking this forum often since I submitted my apps - not to mention the fact that the hotel didn't have free wifi there). I and everyone in my group had a great time.
