I haven't heard back from any school yet. Anyone else in the same situation? I can feel myself slowly going crazy...and I submitted all of my apps in early Nov. It's been an agonizing 2 months to say the least.

I'm in a similar boat; I also completed my applications to 10 neuro programs in early/mid November and am still anxiously awaiting any interview invite. I did hear from one program in mid-December, but that was an early rejection. I keep hearing that most Neuroscience programs notify all throughout January, but the waiting still sucks.

I just want to know where I stand sooner rather than later so I can put some back-up plans into action. All of this time has just gotten me more and more nervous such that I've formulated life plans B, C, and D to improve my applications for next year. Is anyone else making more and more back-up plans as time spent waiting goes on?

I agree...if I'm going to be rejected I'd like to know sooner! I seriously have made a million different alternative plans for next year as well, I'm glad it's not just me! I'm so nervous about the long wait, but I'm glad the notifications will start coming in soon (hopefully, ahhh!)

you're not alone. i had sent in all my apps by mid-september. not a peep. i think it's safe to say the news won't be good if you're not heard from a school by the end of january.

I know exactly what you mean. Except for Drexel (I just submitted everything for their application), I had all my other applications in by Mid-October. However, one of my three recommenders did not submit until Dec. 6. I actually received an email the other day from Case Western encouraging me to apply (One of the ones I applied to in October). It was a like a knife through the heart. I was so excited to see an email only to get an advert.

kgrumps - I got the same email... a week after confirming my interview. I work with a faculty member on the BSTP AdCom and he mentioned that they've only met three times thus far, so you should be hearing from them soon in the next two weeks. Good luck!

I've only heard back from one of 8. I'm going a little crazy! Every time I see a new email in my inbox I steel for the worst and hope for the best... and typically it's not even grad-school related.
