  1. Olentangy Commons and Fox and Hound are nice but about a 10-15 minute drive to campus. COTA buses stop right outside these complex communities. MGI communities has several complexes under their name and are generally much closer to campus, however the apartments are older. Good luck finding housing!
  2. A friend and I are moving into an apartment on Kenny Rd. just north of Hudson St. Although it looks far on the map, its only about a 15 minute drive non-rush hour times. Additionally, the apartments up there have buses that run right outside/through the community that go right through campus. Rent is reasonable ~750 for a 2br +890sqft and is a nicer, quieter area. Important lesson I recently learned the hard way, DO NOT TRY TO DRIVE NEAR CAMPUS ON A GAME DAY!! A 2 minute drive turns into almost 45minutes. 315, High st. Lane and Neil all back up to a stand still. If you absolutely need to run an errand try to do it either way before, during or way after the game.
  3. My last day will be May 25th. I am graduating from a Master's program and since I am living on campus, I get kicked out of my housing. No worries though since my new program starts June 18th and I will be moving there June 9th. So I do have some time to relax, but it will be mostly packing/unpacking and shopping for apartment things. I will miss my current boss though.
  4. If anyone is looking for housing in the OSU area, I just visited this weekend to find a place and know a few decent apartments that aren't too bad for the budget. Be aware they are filling up fast!
  5. Yeah. I am graduating from an MS program in May so it just makes sense for me to keep going and do a rotation in june.
  6. Going to OSU! Now to finish some research at my master's institution...

  7. I am so very excited to be attending OSU for a PhD in Biomedical Sciences (Integrated Biomedical Sciences Graduate Program IBGP). I can't wait to find an apartment and move in at the beginning of June!

  15. ugh i know what you mean about people taking your pipettes. when my pipettes and tips go missing i go a little crazy (internally of course). Also when people needlessly use 10X the number of things they need wasting lab money and I am always replacing stuff such as our 5mL pipettes.
  16. In our lab we have a policy where you just make your own solid gel when you need one. Always fresh, always yours.
  17. from the emails I have recieved from the DGS of the programs I applied to, they are not directly involved in the decision making process. I wish they were though. I think it depends on the program and school you are applying to.
  18. Sounds like you are asking them out on a date. cute.
  19. Yes TJU did send out some acceptances already but I also know they have at least another interview weekend so no worries. I know they are swamped right now. (I work in the same building as the grad admissions since I am doing my master's there). So keep up hope!!
  20. oh man I have definitely done that. Don't forget the slow walk around town with the single tear slowing dripping down your face at night when no one else is around.
  21. I know TJU is still accepting people and Drexel hasn't done anything as far as I know. I just got an email from them letting me know my application was complete and is under review. What programs did you apply to? I'm guessing neuro ones?
  22. I know what you mean. I just want ONE offer. I really don't care where since I know I would be happy at any of the schools I applied to. It would be nice to just relax and write my MS thesis instead of being stressed about the uncertain future.
  23. i guess you have to find yourself a hot tub first
