I know exactly what you mean. Except for Drexel (I just submitted everything for their application), I had all my other applications in by Mid-October. However, one of my three recommenders did not submit until Dec. 6. I actually received an email the other day from Case Western encouraging me to apply (One of the ones I applied to in October). It was a like a knife through the heart. I was so excited to see an email only to get an advert.

thanks going2gradschool. I feel a little better now. I get all jumpy and excited whenever I get an email and I am always disappointed when it isn't a graduate school. Waiting is going to drive me insane.

Unless I am reading what you wrote incorrectly, you received a 300 score on Q - quantitative. If that is the case I would absolutely recommend re-taking the GRE. If you meant that to be your V - verbal score, I would still advise your re-taking the GRE to get into those more competitive schools. I am sure they want to see you have control over writing and verbal skills to enable you to perform research and write decent papers to be published.

bean1989, your GPA and GRE scores are quite good. I think you still have a really good chance of getting into graduate schools. Good luck!

I am currently in a Master's Program and just had a semester with a 4.0 GPA, raising my overall GPA to a 3.71. I definitely sent that along to all the universities who received my transcripts before the semester was over. I am sure it can only help me that I had a perfect semester.

Thanks for your vote of confidence Pitangus. I am still looking for one or two more schools to apply to where I have a really good chance of being accepted. I am determined to get my PhD.
