NO INTERVIEW YET should I be freakingggggg out?

So according to the results pages UMadison typically sets up its interviews by the first week of Jan. I sent my contact a season's greetings message some time ago and he said you'll be hearing from us soon- that was ages ago- I'm so anxious. Do people get accepted without interviews or does no interview call pretty much mean you're not in

This is my second year applying.

Does the results page say they've invited interviewees for this year already? If not, relax, most schools just got started up again over the holidays so its unlikely many admissions commitees have met yet.

As far as I know, most communication Ph.D. programs don't do interviews at all.
