aspiringhistorian Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 After I turned in the majority of my applications, I was accepted to present a paper at a conference. Is there an acceptable way to update the universities I'm applying to?
jeenyus Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 (edited) Same thing happened to me after turning in my first applciation. I e-mailed the grad secretary to provide the update for my application. She was very helpful and said she would "add it to my file". Some schools wil require you go directly through grad studies while others through your respective department. Edited January 12, 2012 by jeenyus
TMP Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 If you didn't mention that you've submitted a paper to a conference anywhere, then it's fine to e-mail the graduate admissions coordinator with this update (mention in e-mail and submit an updated CV). If you already did mention, then just the fact that you've even taken the initiative to do so is impressive enough. There are so many students out there who can't bring themselves to even try.
