Anyone else applying to Harvard's Health Policy PhD this Fall?

A friend of mine is applying to this program, and they called the office last week and was told that if they haven't visitted the campus already and/or heard from admissions that it's unlikely they'll be in the class...

Has anyone gotten the same response?

I emailed the admissions coordinator last week and I received a polite, "no decisions have been made yet, a notification will be sent out in March." Not much to go on.

Any news from others?

I got a similar email telling me the committee will be making decisions by the end of the month and notifications will be mailed in early March.

That sounds pretty reasonable actually looking at last years survey data (if its any measure!)

If its true we should be in the home stretch. Does anyone know if they evaluate ur candidacy based on ur proposed policy track or if its program in general?

Hey healthpol, When I talked with the head of the adcom, he said it's a "best athlete" situation - so they're evaluating everyone for the program rather than track.

Thanks L2theP, I also heard that acceptances and rejections alike go out via regular mail as opposed to email. Makes the waiting time even longer!
