abc123xtc Posted February 15, 2012 Posted February 15, 2012 I like that idea abc123xtc! I thought about getting the Long Beqach city seal tatooed somewhere -- because it was the such a happy time for me -- but I haven't done it. I'm thinking STRONGLY about getting it if/when I move back (which i seriously hope to do... if I can ever afford a house). If I had a job, I'd be able to afford to get this tattoo this summer before I leave, but I might have to do it during the winter holidays when I visit my family. It sucks not having a job!
hyperjulie Posted February 15, 2012 Posted February 15, 2012 I am pretty curious how things will be in graduate school as far as wearing my piercings will go. I have an interview and a scheduled visit, and I think for those I will take my eyebrow piercing out (which I can go a couple days without wearing at this point since I've had it so long) and wear a discrete clear retainer in my conch piercing as opposed to the large ring. I don't think that I should be judged on these things, but I usually err on the side of caution so that I don't put forth a bad first impression. As for new piercings or ink, I'm not really thinking that right now. I definitely can't think of anything I like enough to commit to as a tat, and I've had enough trouble with my conch piercing that I'm not interested in any more cartilage piercings, at least for a while. Aside from that, I don't really have a good nose for a nose ring and don't want to risk any of the dental problems that can happen because of lip or labret piercings (which I happen to really like, unfortunately).
Julianne Pigoon Posted February 15, 2012 Posted February 15, 2012 don't want to risk any of the dental problems that can happen because of lip or labret piercings (which I happen to really like, unfortunately). If your lip is properly pierced, you won't have dental problems. I've had my lower lip pierced for a year and I have no issues with my teeth. The labret back has caused scarring to my soft tisse, but that's because it's low‒quality and sharp...because, oddly, I'm cheap, allergic to many metals, and must wear high‒grade gold in my face. If I wanted a really nice solid gold labret I'd have to shell out more than I'm willing, but by now I've gotten used to it. Moral of the story: buy a nice piece of jewelry with a properly rounded and small backing, get your lip pierced properly, and you will very likely not have issues with your teeth, or soft tissues for that matter. Is nice!
