hey everyone, I hope everyone is hearing back from their desired schools with good news following!

I was recently (last month) accepted into the University of Pittsburgh MSW program. On their website it stated

"All eligible applicants who complete their MSW application by the priority deadline date of December 31, 2011 and have a minimum 4-year grade point average of 3.3 will receive both their admissions and scholarship award decisions by no later than February 15, 2012. After the priority deadline a limited number of scholarship awards are made."

Having applied before the deadline with a 3.268 GPA I was uncertain if they would consider me having a 3.3 GPA. After hearing Jan 7 that I was accepted I could not believe how fast they got back to me!

While I am happy I got accepted, I called the school today asking them if they had any information regarding a scholarship. They told me that they went through different " rounds" for scholarships and that since I did not have high enough grades I would not be considered.

I am really confused but keep in mind i spoke to a secretary.

I am wondering what I should do? Do I have any hope on getting some money?

What you posted seems to imply that you needed to have that GPA by the priority application deadline, in which case it would already be too late. :/
