I really don't want to know. No news is good news in this case since only those that have been rejected have heard. Therefore, I'm avoiding checking the website until I receive an email linking me there. Big flaw in my logic, but makes me feel like I still have a chance...

I'm curious about the website a few people have referred to on this thread. The only one I've found on their website tells me that all my application materials have been submitted. There's no application status or anything. Am I missing something?

Thanks.

I'm out, too. Ugh. No RI reunion in Eugene, I guess.

It should be this: https://gradweb.uoregon.edu/online_app/application/guidelines2.htm

If there's no decision up, they just haven't decided on you yet.

I'm rejected too :( I was pretty excited about some of the faculty there, but I already lived in Oregon for 4 years when I did my undergrad so the location didn't excite me that much--I always want to experience new places, even though I liked Oregon a lot. I know, I know, we aren't supposed to think about location.... but I do.

Well that was my last school to hear back from~~ I'll be going for 2013. I strangely feel much more emotionally balanced about all my rejections than I thought I would. Its very unnerving. Maybe I'm just in denial, haha!!

This is the only university that I've seen that's posted a bunch of rejections before the acceptances. Weird. They'd better accept someone or I'm going to be really pissed off that they took all of our application fees with no plans to admit anyone. Good luck to all of you that are still in the running--I'm rooting for you because if some of you are accepted, then at least I'll know my application was given a fair chance.

I just received a phone call from the DGS admitting me to Oregon. If you haven't heard yet, I think calls should be going out now. Best of luck to everyone!

Congrats, Ruby! Looks like you'll have quite the decision to make. Out of pure curiosity, which way are you leaning?

Thanks! Congrats on Illinois...I'm quite envious :) Honestly, I'll probably think about Oregon for a few days, but I'm leaning towards Davis. If I make it off the Illinois wait list, it will be a very difficult decision.

Also got a call today re: an acceptance. DGS was surprised to hear that I'd already been rejected via the website last week.

Of course, now I'm hoping that ALL of my rejections were mistakes! If only. :P

So there's a chance that those rejections were not the official recommendation?!

I don't want to raise false hopes but early last week I checked my application and the status definitely said "Denied". (Note: I never got an email or letter or anything saying that.) When I got the call yesterday, I checked again and the online status was back to "Submitted". So maybe check yours again? DGS said that they just made their decisions this week, so...

Fingers crossed for y'all!!

Are others still waiting on Oregon? My online app still just says "submitted," and I haven't heard a thing....I'm just ready for the whole waiting process to be over.

Have any of you other acceptees received an official letter or email yet? Am starting to worry I hallucinated the entire conversation with the DGS last week due to lack of sleep.

And hang in there, for the peeps still waiting!

This is my first post, and I'm coming out of lurking a bit late on this, but I thought I'd share some info! I also hadn't heard anything (not even on the website) from Oregon, and so I called the grad secretary (Michael Stamm) today. He told me that I'm in a sort of unofficial waiting pool (his term was no-man's land). He said that first-round offers have gone out, and that I should hear back relatively soon (when I asked if that meant a few weeks, he said hopefully not that long). Hope this helps any of you who are in the same boat!

I'm also waiting on Oregon's Masters program. 'No Man's Land' doesn't sound too encouraging. Oh well, I've got other acceptances, and the MA is just a stepping stone anyway.
