PhDhopefulRec Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 During my routinized 5-10 times per day application status check, I found out i have been accepted to Clemson (Ph.D, Parks and Rec). Unfortunately, with no funding, we can't afford to go. How long should I have to wait until I can find out? Anyone have experience with Clemson, perhaps?
ANDS! Posted February 16, 2012 Posted February 16, 2012 Call them, or wait for the graduate office to send you official letter with stipend info.
eagleeye Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 Hey, Many Congrets.! I also got an acceptance from them.. Anyhow, I asked the funding info to the graduate program coordinator. He replied to me as below We will be making funding decisions February 29th – all students accepted by that time will be considered. Please keep in mind though that funding is extremely limited…you will know shortly after that date if you were awarded funding or not.
NoMoreABD Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 I also got accepted there (different program than OP) and got funding info with the unofficial admission email. They're offering me Graduate Assistantship, with pretty low funding that I don't think we'll be able to live on. Also, they want a very fast reply (before even sending me the official admission notification)...
PhDhopefulRec Posted February 21, 2012 Author Posted February 21, 2012 Congrats @eagleeye and @foreign guy. I did call and was made aware that funding will be decided Feb. 29. Hopefully, an assistantship with decent funding is headed my way.
eagleeye Posted February 22, 2012 Posted February 22, 2012 @PhDhopefulRec. Hey, Congrats! Today, I declined their offer. Hope you could get an assistantship from them!!!.
mjosborn Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 Foreign Guy, to what Clemson program did you apply?
