That's funny. I was literally signing on just now to post the same question. I've also been admitted but haven't heard anything on funding (although I did receive my official letter in the mail from the graduate school yesterday). I'm anxiously awaiting the funding information.

I did a campus visit to Maryland back in October, the coordinator told me then that all of the accepted students are fully funded; they don't offer admission if they don't fund you.

That's actually what I want to know. Nice topic :)

I got e-mail from department at Feb. 10. I'm waiting official letter, but surprised by Morecoffee's post. I expected that I will be able to know about funding options from official letter.

However, dizzidawn's post gave me positive mind :) Thanks!

And I also have one question to you!

Does majority of graduate programs in sociology have 'visiting day' event for admitted students?

Cause I am international student, it's better to know earlier....

yes,i believe it's march 7 to 8 with maximal $400 for travel spend. you should receive their invitation e-mail one or two weeks ago.

Thanks doberman^^ that's why i am waiting for my official letter - I guess it will accompany more detail information about offer of admission. I think just one week is tight time to prepare... So i should mail to coordinator within this week :)

An email contained information on the admitted students day (the graduate school letter was simply notification of official admittance). You might want to re-check your email (was sent from Karina on Feb. 13th).
