doberman Posted February 22, 2012 Posted February 22, 2012 Hi, anybody get admiitted to maryland heard anything from its funding decision ?
MoreCoffee Posted February 22, 2012 Posted February 22, 2012 That's funny. I was literally signing on just now to post the same question. I've also been admitted but haven't heard anything on funding (although I did receive my official letter in the mail from the graduate school yesterday). I'm anxiously awaiting the funding information.
thatsociologist Posted February 22, 2012 Posted February 22, 2012 Does anyone know if UMD is done sending out decisions?
dizzid Posted February 22, 2012 Posted February 22, 2012 I did a campus visit to Maryland back in October, the coordinator told me then that all of the accepted students are fully funded; they don't offer admission if they don't fund you. poryma 1
poryma Posted February 22, 2012 Posted February 22, 2012 (edited) That's actually what I want to know. Nice topic I got e-mail from department at Feb. 10. I'm waiting official letter, but surprised by Morecoffee's post. I expected that I will be able to know about funding options from official letter. However, dizzidawn's post gave me positive mind Thanks! Edited February 22, 2012 by poryma
poryma Posted February 22, 2012 Posted February 22, 2012 And I also have one question to you! Does majority of graduate programs in sociology have 'visiting day' event for admitted students? Cause I am international student, it's better to know earlier....

Thanks doberman^^ that's why i am waiting for my official letter - I guess it will accompany more detail information about offer of admission. I think just one week is tight time to prepare... So i should mail to coordinator within this week
MoreCoffee Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 An email contained information on the admitted students day (the graduate school letter was simply notification of official admittance). You might want to re-check your email (was sent from Karina on Feb. 13th).
