Anyone going? I am still waiting on a few schools before I finalize my decision, but KU seems to be where I am headed...

I was waitlisted at KU for the MA program. Although they said "chances are good" that I'll get accepted off the alternate list, I'm not holding my breath.

I am about 99% sure I am going to KU, just waiting on one final school. Accepted for PhD in Lit.

I'm a Romanticist. But I plan to dabble a good bit in science fiction and Japanification culture. I'm looking for a small foreclosure, but there are some really good cheap ones for family sized homes. I don't think you'll have to wait long to snap one up.

I'm probably going to end up there! I got the best offer from them (for an MA), and the school looks great from everything I've read. I'm expecting great culture shock as I'm from South Carolina. :0

I'm from NC. It's righ outside Kansas City, so I think I'll be okay. Lived in small college town--lived in small city. I'm kind of looking forward to a change of pace, but I'll miss the South no doubt. I'll see you there. Have you joined SAGE yet?

Student Association of Graduates in English I think. Every grad program has a student association with a student hierarchy. You can probably get in touch with a fellow grad student, and ask them questions about moving and the campus. Plus it's really fun to get involved with these groups--you meet people that share your interests early on.

Hey there cunninghamww - I think I'll probably end up at Kansas with you (not that you don't already know that). But I want to do a bit more research on other programs first. SAGE does look intriguing - EGO has been good at 'Bama, so I'd like to get involved in another similar program out there.

Wow... I just received an email from the DGS at KU accepting me off the waitlist. Five days after the April 15th deadline is a little late, don't you think? I've already accepted an offer at the school I am graduating from with my bachelor's. Now, I just feel bad.
