I applied for the graduate college. It's going to be weird living in a catered college again - I've been in a share house with some friends for the past two years, and before that I was in a self-catered college. Plus I've never had to share a room before (though fingers crossed I get a single room). Still, I figure living at college will be the best way to meet people and make new friends.

I got the same thing. My choices did not include the NGC and I'm wondering if I could change it. By the way, I heard from the grad students there that they like choosing the 95 meal plan to have it as a back up in case they end up eating mostly outside.

I got NGC as well. I chose the 95 meal plan. BTW we can upgrade our meal plan any number of times, so 95 is the safest plan to opt for. I read on the Princeton website that most graduate students choose this plan. However, I don't know why the meal plans are so expensive. The 95 meal plan amounts to almost $33 per meal, as opposed to the meal prices of $10-$15 for lunch/dinner at the same dining halls, if bought individually.

I think the cost of the 95 meal/semester plan is for the whole year, which would mean it's just over $16 a meal (at least, that would make more sense).

That does sound reasonable. That would make the cost per meal of the Block 235 close to $11.

Sorry! You are right. The prices are for one year! The prices make much more sense now...

I got the walk through double in the old graduate college. I was pretty unhappy with this, considering I've had my own apartment for the past 2 years -- I called, and was switched to one of the annexes. I am thrilled! I'm also happy that the meal plan isn't required, as I think the cost is way too high (95 meals/semester @ 16$ a meal? Craziness). I'm very excited to move down and hopefully have great housemates!

Hey all! I was also placed in a single in the NGC. Just out of curiosity, what is it about the NGC that makes people want to jump ship to the OGC?
