Did I apply "late"?

The application deadlines are May 1st and at least 45 days before the start of the semester at the other schools. My applications have only been complete and sent to the departments about a week.

Well, I've been reading on this site and it seems to me that the only problem that could arise would be if the school does rolling admissions. I think this is when the school decides on applicants as soon as the applications are submitted. So the earlier that you submit your application, the more spots are available. Other than that, there seems to be no problem with you submitting your application before the deadline.
