  1. Will this be difficult to do in also maintaining the required 3.0? I'm going to take 9 hours which is full time, and I have an assistantship.
  2. I'm wondering how difficult it is to maintain the required 3.0 in grad school...
  3. After I talked with the professor last Tuesday. She invited me up. Told me to pick dates and to let her know. That night I sent her an email with the dates I picked. Didn't get a response. Monday tried sending it again. I know how busy they are. Nothing. She is leaving for the next few days. I tried calling her. Wasn't sure the best number so I tried both the number she called me on and office. No response. It seems if she changed her mind she would have let me know. I don't know what else to do.
  4. I'm assuming there isn't a April 15th deadline though. The school is Auburn if anyone has insight?
  5. Thanks . I have a feeling this means I'm likely to be accepted. (I haven't been actually accepted yet). I am worried I won't get accepted and I won't get the job I interviewed for and then I'll be left right where I started after I graduated in December.
  6. You guys will love it. I did my undergraduate work there. Just wear comfortable shoes while on campus. Let me know if you have any questions.
  7. I also mentioned being fascinated about her techniques and how you would start a project from the beginning.
  8. It was earlier this week. Think she maybe looking over my application materials?
  9. A professor responded to an email I sent, and she mentioned a new project she would be starting in the near future and told me to let her know if I was interested. I responded to her e-mail, but haven't heard back.
  10. Don't know if this has already been posted here, but I thought it was funny and worth sharing in order to bring humor over here.
  11. I had a 2.7 overall by the time I graduated but a 2.9 the last 2 years with >3.0 last 3 semesters
  12. Thanks . You too . One of my application deadlines is May 1st for fall and at least 45 days before the start of the semester at the other two schools.
  13. The application deadlines are May 1st and at least 45 days before the start of the semester at the other schools. My applications have only been complete and sent to the departments about a week.
  14. Not what I needed to hear. . I was hoping if they rejected you then you'll hear back fairly soon.
  15. Also I asked the GPO for the department if this is typical, and would affect my chances to get in. Normally he responds but he has not responded to this email. To me that says I have a chance. If I didn't I would hope he would tell me I needed to find one as a condition of acceptance.
  16. Good point. I started emailing them about a month ago.
  17. I applied kind of late all my applications have been completed and sent to the department about a week. I'm just worried it will take a long time before I hear anything.
  18. Thanks, I even asked the GPO officer for the department if it was typical, and asked if this would affect the decision. Normally he responds to my questions but he hasn't responded to this. It seems like if I had no shot because of this he would let me know.
  19. The programs I've applied to have been telling me to email and strike up conversations with professors etc. I haven't heard a thing from any of the professors I have emailed. Ive been expressing my interests and relating them to their publications and their interests. Would this affect me getting in?
  20. Fisheries specifically. The programs I've applied to are the Fisheries and Allied Aquaculture program at Auburn, and the Wildlife and Fisheries Sciences program at Mississippi State and Texas A&M (where I did my undergrad).
