Behnoush Posted March 15, 2012 Posted March 15, 2012 I have two admission offers and I can`t decide between them. Oregon State University or University of Connecticut? Both are fully funded, both Pharmaceutical Science PhD, Medicinal Chemistry track, researches are the same. Oregon has better living conditions , UConn has better reputation and ranking. Any comments?
abc123xtc Posted March 16, 2012 Posted March 16, 2012 Hmm... well, which is more important to you? Reputation/ranking or location/living conditions?
Behnoush Posted March 16, 2012 Author Posted March 16, 2012 (edited) I really don`t know. sometimes I think living conditions is more important specially bedause I am Iranian and there are many iranians in Oregon and I heard that people in west coast are warm and friendly. But sometimes I think rank in more important and UConn is close to top universities and maybe it will be useful in future. I don`t have much information about living conditions in US and I can`t imagine the situation. I also don`t know the effect of ranking on finding job. Really confused Edited March 16, 2012 by Behnoush
Asterick* Posted March 16, 2012 Posted March 16, 2012 I'm from Oregon State University, PM me if you have any specific questions about the living environment. My roommate is a Pharm D, so I might be able to pass some questions along as well. Behnoush 1
