Undergrad tour?

I am interviewing for an assistantship Friday. If I take the admission campus tour while I am there, will people think it's silly? Anyone else done this thing?

I've never done it. They will show you around campus but probably places that are important for the undergrads. Why don't you get a map from the visitor's center and walk around yourself? You may see more of what you want that way.

I've done it! It was... interesting. Probably 75% of it was useless and directed towards undergrads, but it was a pleasant walk around campus and the guide pointed out some things that I hadn't noticed before and also told some stories about the school's history.

I haven't been out of undergrad for too long so I'd like to think that I blended in well. I'd say that if you have a large chunk of free time and the weather is nice, it's somewhat worthwhile.

Yeah it will be out of place imo. They will likely go over financial aid, admission, academic, and related issues completely unrelated to you. Graduate schools typically have their own admissions office if you want an actual tour. If that is unavailable it might be more worth your while to walk around campus yourself, talk with financial aid and some one who knows about your program who you can ask about academics, admissions, etc. That will give you an equivalent experience as a tour.
