hellomadison Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 OK, so this school is very expensive, but it looks like it would be an amazing place to receive my MFA in print-media. Has anyone been accepted to this school and know how do deal with the huge costs? It's going to take more than loans to pay for this place, and I don't want to become bankrupt! The website mentions that graduate students can be teachers assistants and a portion of their living expenses are paid for, but what exactly does this mean? If anyone is currently attending this school or knows someone who is, please let me know! Here is the program I am interested in. http://www.saic.edu/degrees_resources/gr_degrees/mfas/index.html
contiguous Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 I was accepted to the dual-degree arts admin & art history program and received zero financial aid, and the fin. aid officer I spoke to wasn't optimistic about TA-ships. The cost was too high, considering I had funding elsewhere. Would have loved to be in Chicago though
