It's Pathetic that the Moderators blocked the thread "Why Mostly PhDs and Not JDs in University Political Science Faculties?"- Very Anti-Intellectual! That is a fail at moderatng.

The thread is found here, but you can't share your perspectives because it is locked:

Because after 18 pages it had devolved and was no longer productive? Either way, it was locked a year ago. Why bring it up now?

If your perspective is that 'this question should never be asked for it might ruffle a few feathers or cause some to think," then perhaps it was devolving. Others, however, were in interested in continuing to discuss challenging perspectives on the topic.

Poor moderating on GradCafe.

It devolved well before the 18th page. Thanks for saving us all from ourselves.

Haven't been on Gradcafe forums in a while, but I'm wondering if kaykaykay would call her/his prospective students "troll" whenever s/he disagrees with them.  You may be in the wrong program.

No. I would call them troll if they do not engage into a conversation, and they condone evidence. You are a troll and I would tell it to you face to face. I am not in a JD program so I think I am fine.

Alright, I think we have had enough here. If you have issues with the moderating team, this is not the way to handle them. Attacking other posters is unacceptable. You have made your point in this thread and further discussion is not going to add anything new, so I am locking this thread.

Notice that if we wanted to silence you, we would not lock the thread, but delete it. Discussion is welcome, but that is not what is happening here.
