gomeperez Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 I contacted some profs to check if they were accepting students for their research groups and introduced some of my background because I want to apply to a Masters in CS program, but profs haven't replied. Should I apply to the university anyways even if no professors replied to my emails?

Should I apply to the university anyways even if no professors replied to my emails? I think it depends when you sent the original emails. If you sent them recently, or over July/August, I would give them another week or so, and then send a follow-up email. It's a pretty busy time right now for profs who could just be returning from vacation or time off and then get bombarded with emails from the summer. When did you originally send the emails?
gomeperez Posted September 4, 2012 Author Posted September 4, 2012 I sent them recently and applications start in October, so I guess I probably shouldn't worry much?

I would check back with them in about a week or so. Or give it a couple weeks, even. Prepare your applications anyway, and then see how it goes.
