marco_math Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 Hello: I know that most applications are now done online. The advantage of this is that one can start the online application and upload the documents and letters of recommendation as they come right? So I was wondering when is the correct to actually start applying to the schools i.e. obtain an account, fill the application form, send the gre scores, lorĀ“s etc? I am going to apply to about ten schools so i would like to have enough time to be able to apply successfully to all schools but would also would not like to start the apps too early. Any suggestions. Many thanks in advance.
emmm Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 You can start working on any application once it opens. For the programs I applied to, that meant some time in September. sareth and 3point14 2
Usmivka Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 ASAP. Why wait, especially on the check the box stuff like sending scores and transcript? sareth 1
marco_math Posted September 14, 2012 Author Posted September 14, 2012 True that. Nevertheless i will probably wait until i get my subject score before i start applying. Does sending an application early enhance chances of admission?
child of 2 Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 ^ I've heard it doesn't matter. As far as I know, most schools don't do rolling admissions. They just stack all the applications somewhere and wait till January or something to start deciding. **Someone PLEASE correct me if I'm wrong** I don't know if sending the applications early would affect the order though. I mean of course you would want to have your application looked at first.
