Too many degrees a bad thing?

Hi All,

I wanted to get people's opinion on degree collecting. I am a career changer with varied interests and I have an undergrad degree in business adminstration and an undergrad degree in mech engineering at this point. Now the job I have forces a MS engineering degree on you and must be aquired at a specific set of instittutions none of which I am thrilled about. I must go along with the program and earn a degree so I figured I would pick a different displine that is sort of connected to my end game but not fully. I picked an MS ChemE which I am currently working through. I want to pursue a MS in MechE after this degree I am concerend if this would help or hurt me down the road? Any advice.
