Astaroth Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 Applied to UVM but haven't heard back... Could you let me know how your interview goes? The place sounds really nice but for some reason you are the first person I've found who is also applying there. Which program at UVM btw? I applied to Cell & mol bio.
Michelley262003 Posted March 2, 2009 Author Posted March 2, 2009 I applied to the neuroscience PhD program. I applied in Aug 08 (I know... neurotically early). I heard back February 11th, 09. I know that all of their programs are small and accept only a few students every year. Admissions for neuro said they were only accepting 2-3 this year. I hope you hear soon. Waiting is torture.
salimdmc Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 Got accepted in Indiana Bloomington Neuroscience PhD 2009. Can anyone tell me more about the program quality? I got two other interview, University of Texas Medical Branch and Medical University of South Carolina. Can anyone compare amoung these universities?
Astaroth Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 Just got notified by UVM about a phone interview next week for the CMB program!
Aceflyer Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 Got accepted in Indiana Bloomington Neuroscience PhD 2009. Can anyone tell me more about the program quality? I got two other interview, University of Texas Medical Branch and Medical University of South Carolina. Can anyone compare amoung these universities? Just going from the schools' reputations and the U.S. News rankings, it seems that IU-Bloomington has a significantly better graduate program than UTMB or the Medical University of South Carolina. But if you are genuinely interested in all three programs, it would be best for you to go and visit all three and make a personal comparison.
Michelley262003 Posted March 11, 2009 Author Posted March 11, 2009 Hey congrats about the phone interview with UVM!!! I hope you nail it. I interviewed with them last week. I felt that it went well. I find out this week if I get in. I'm not sure where I will end up just yet though.
