A_SouthWest Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 I have two letter secured one from a prof and one from my internship supervisor. My third one (of course) is causing all the stress. I emailed the prof. a month ago and never received a response, a week or so later I left her a voicemail and again, no response. I have called the dept. but since she is not teaching the semester (she's the program director and sometimes lectures) she keeps her own office hours and they don't know what they are. I don't live terribly close and it's not like I can camp outside her office all day due to my work schedule. As another in I added her on linkedin and she has accepted the connection within the past week... Should I leave another message, email again, maybe try to contact her via linkedin?? My only other option for a LOR is a supervisor from where I volunteer, which is directly related to my field but obviously she doesn't really have a title.
Lud Posted November 22, 2012 Posted November 22, 2012 Definitely send her a message on Linkedin. Try to reach her colleagues so they can get her the message personally. Maybe she was just on a research trip or something. Good luck chasing her!
Quant_Liz_Lemon Posted November 22, 2012 Posted November 22, 2012 Did this prof already agreed to write you a letter? If not, I would strongly suggest going with someone else.
