GradSchoolAlibi Posted December 3, 2012 Posted December 3, 2012 Hiya, I've had a good time trading essays with some of you folks, and would like to start another round of exchanges. I'm working on the essays for Berkeley at the moment, and would be happy to help some other folks out with theirs, too. There's an interesting split between the statement of purpose and the personal history essay which I'm trying to manage correctly. Please e-mail me at sdavenport87@gmail.com if you're interested. I will make sure to return any drafts by tonight, and I'd appreciate if you could do the same.
geo Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 It seems like a number of you have completed internships in congressional offices or with think tanks, would anyone mind reading my cover letter for a congressional internship position? I understand that this post is primarily for statement of purposes, but I am trying to switch from psychology over into public policy work. I am somewhat flying by the seat of pants in this transition. It would be helpful if someone could give me feedback. And of course, I would be more than willing to read someone's statement of purpose to graduate school.
Hopefulodi Posted January 3, 2013 Posted January 3, 2013 Hello, Sorry to jump in. I have had my CMU Heinz MSPPM written down for a moment but I am hesitant to submit it. It is way less than 1000 words. Since I had to write an additional essay for the DC-track, I didn't want to be repeating the same info in both essays. How long is your required essay?? Thank you
rudy2012 Posted January 4, 2013 Posted January 4, 2013 GEO - I am in the exact same boat, going from a useless psych degree to public policy, and trying to get into grad schools. I would love to chat!
