Dior99 Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 Has any ever written the GRE a second time and had the same questions show up? In my first verbal section there were 2 writing passages that were identical to my previous sitting of the exam. (I wrote the exams about 2 months apart from one another.) And the questions they asked were the same too. I was really surprised as I assumed that their question pool would be large. Just curious if this is common?
midnight Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 I doubt it's common as that's definitely not supposed to happen. There's no way it was an experimental section?
Dior99 Posted December 6, 2012 Author Posted December 6, 2012 No, it couldn't have been experimental because I only had 2 verbal sections.
smmmu Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 It's happened to me as well, albeit on a subject test. I wouldn't be too fussed about it. There's only a finite number of questions, so they are bound to repeat occasionally.
Mr Buttons Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 I got the same exact writing prompt and I saw a question or two repeat
antanon82 Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 Ditto. I rewrote the exam last week after I was unsatisfied with my November scores. Two passages were repeated.
