Vikingturtle Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 I am not in law school yet but I am applying. I have lived and worked in China and I would like to continue studying Mandarin while in law school. I know this is not a law school forum but I do hope someone can give some guidance to me about the application process or any other relaxant thoughts.
Ablukhov Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 Hey vikingturtle - I don't know about Boren but I know you can definitely apply to FLAS as a law student. You'll just need to prove in your essay that Mandarin is necessary for your future profession goals, i.e. you want to work with Mandarin speaking clients in some capacity. Good luck!
kaseyleigh Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 (edited) You can do the Boren in law school! I considered/still am considering it and met with an advisor (and I'm a current law student). Edited December 11, 2012 by kaseyleigh
