Don't bring any food. Seriously. It's an oral exam and you want people talking, not chewing. I asked my committee if they wanted me to bring food or snacks and they unanimously told me no. I did have coffee and doughnuts at my MA thesis defense but my advisor brought them, not me. And also, it was at 9am.

Beer. At least in my department, it's pretty much mandatory.

Otherwise, I like to mix salty and sweet, nothin too heavy. Maybe hummus, pita chips, cherry tomatoes and some brownie bites?

Depends a lot on your committee and what they like.

Maybe I'll keep it real light then (bagels and coffee) just to keep them happy. People get real hangry (hungry and angry) when they're not eating around dinner time. Thanks for the help.

Bagels aren't really an evening food, plus they require a lot of chewing. If you are going to bring a snack, you want something that's not crunchy or messy or takes a long time to chew. You know, so that people can actually talk and you aren't distracted by chewing noises.

But, I would ask your chair what, if anything, people normally bring.
