vincehoward
Unfortunately, the invites have gone out already. In the event that people decline them (who would though?) then the admissions committee may invite others to interview. Perhaps performing well in an M.Ed program at HGSE in 2013-2014 boosts your chances of getting into EDLD's next cohort? MusiKK
It looks like its always at the end of the second week- beginning of third of feb. I have a feeling Friday would be their move. I'm sure they want to give all the invitees a chance to book travel. Ughhhhhhhhhh. Plan B and C is continuing my work and or finding a job closer to what I'd like to do and in better climate lol

Perhaps performing well in an M.Ed program at HGSE in 2013-2014 boosts your chances of getting into EDLD's next cohort? It seemed like they weren't sent out yet according to admissions. (Called this morning) I figured if anything they'd be sent out tomorrow.
vincehoward
Did admissions say that they were not sent out yet? I heard the exact opposite from my friend who is in the program and involved with coordinating events for the selected candidates while they are in Cambridge. MusiKK
Actually none are sent yet!!!! Next week!! They will send them out. It's been a slow year I guess. Promise that I'm telling the truth!! Don't want to put anyone on the spot but its a more secure source than a student. No offense!!!! Everyone hold your breath for one more week. Thank you for checking for us - this makes more sense based on all past patterns we have seen... they all indicated that invites were sent out on the 10th or 12th (ish)....... it is not easy waiting. I have had in my head that if I do not hear from them by the 15th then I can assume I need to look at all of the other wonderful opportunities I can pursue. I am really impressed with the wonderful attitudes everyone has. We are all educational professionals who care deeply about the students we serve. Whether or not we are fortunate enough to attend Harvard will not change our devotion to the profession or our desires to see improvements made for the sake of those we are serving now and will serve in the future. 2BHarvardedld
Hey everyone, I haven't been posting, but I have been reading every day. We must remain positive and composed. I WILL NOT allow anything negative to damper my spirits and I want to encourage you to do the same. Until there is proof of something...concrete proof...keep the positive thoughts going. I refuse to get upset...I am destressing more and more every day. I already claim being accepted...I am walking in that with unsurmountable faith... vincehoward
I'm interested to know what kind of stats people applying to the EDLD program have. Also how old are some of the applicants represented here and how many years of work experience do you have? I'll start: I'm 30 with three years of middle school teaching experience (TFA corps member) and five years of private sector experience at a management consulting firm. I've worked cases ranging from private equity to tech industry and I'm currently focusing on working with education reform oriented non profits and school districts. My GRE scores were 163 Quant, 168 Verbal and 5.0 AW. 3.7 GPA from a top public school and a teaching credential from another public school. 2BHarvardedld
I am sorry guys...and I really hate to be a party pooper, but I am not posting my stats or age on here. Sometimes it gives people more to worry about. Worrying is negative...just like posting information on here that upsets people for no reason at all. If you guys want to post stats...go right ahead. Right now, my job is to keep my head in the game, remain positive, and calmly wait between now and next week. We are all overacheivers in one way or another...if we weren't we would not have the nerve to apply to the best school in the world...HARVARD.... just my two cents. T You can say worrying is negative all you want, but my grandma (aka Nanny) worries 100% of the time and 90% of the time NOTHING bad happens. So, to me, worrying = positive. Also, you just gotta nut up or shut up, bro, because now you got everyone - oh, and I do mean everyone - in the Gradcafe realm thinking you got a 170 V, 170 QR, 6.0 AWA, and taught the entire country of Angola English using Rosetta Stone's French box set. Even though you weren't supposedly trying to make anyone worry, you, ironically, just made me poop myself...just like you pooped on our party. Anyway, post your stats so *I* can stop worrying, or just simply refrain from posting again so we can get back to the aforementioned party. Speaking of which, will allow us all to do that! w00t! I usually don't respond to utter foolishness, but I must point out that my refusal to post my stats has absolutely nothing to do with you or your chances of getting in.If you really feel that way, perhaps you are not quite ready for the rigors of this kind of program. Yes, I am super accomplished and did extremely well on the GRE, but that has nothing to with you or your destiny. I will post whenever I get ready, still will not give my stats...and yes, the kids in Angola rocked! Nearly everyone on this post has remained positive. DOCTORAL program. Fyi. Ouch...that kind of elitism isn't cool either. FWIW, I think CQE was trying to majorly lighten the mood around here. We're all in the same boat, guys - anxious waiting to hear from Harvard and a little on edge. No need to be snippy and put others down. And, to stay on topic and just in case I get accused of being a lowly masters program applicant, just wanted to wish all of you the best of luck. I admire the way you all handled the interview hoax yesterday - that took class and nerves of steel.
