oliviagc Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 Hi all, I am a college grad with a BA in Biology and am looking into biotech/pharmaceutical industry. However, my research experience is quite limited since I only had hands-on experience with PCR, GEL ELECTROPHORESIS in a research lab. Other lab techniques were learned through bio and chem labs. I have done no internships in the industry. I was wondering if getting a Master's degree in, let say, Biochemistry, pharmacology or other fields, will at least help me get an entry-level job in the industry? Could anyone give me some advice on how to get my foot in the door of biotech/pharmaceuticals? I would very much appreciate your input!!!!
Quantum Buckyball Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 a BA in Biology is enough for most technician type of work (entry level)

Tall Chai Latte Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 A masters in Pharmacology could be useful, and Pharmacology kids have a better time getting a job in industry. To BCELL23: how to get a position at Pfizer? I'd like to know, thanks.
