One thing I'd like to know is if we will still receive notification regardless of whether we actually get funding, simply letting us know decisions were made and we aren't being offered funding...

Even if Im not fortunate to receive it, it'd be nice to know so Im not waiting for nothing... Does anyone know if schools will do this?

I still have yet to hear from any of the 8 masters programs I applied too. I'm not sure what to make of it, but the wait is driving me crazy.

Econ_to_Stats. I wouldn't worry too much I know for UNC-CH at least they've barely started doing things on the PhD end, only a few admits yesterday and from the professors I've talked with they've been moving pretty slowly this year (which I get the impression they do every year). Given that PhD students tend to hear things earlier than masters then I would guess they'd send something out in the next month or so? Spring break is coming up otherwise I'd say it would be sooner. Unless Bowling Green didn't offer you funding is there any reason why you would go to a masters program over a PhD program?

JZappa, thanks for the info. I'm concerned about fit and prestige. When I did this the first time for economics I picked a school that have me money but was not well known in economics and didn't have faculty doing what I was interested in. After my second year I left the PhD program with a masters, but have had a terrible time finding work. I don't want to repeat that. BG has good Bayesian faculty, which I'm interested in, but are weak in my other areas of interest (computational statistics and statistical/machine learning). Looking at their placements, not many go into industry. I'd be happy to go there, but it would be hard to choose it over a masters from say Stanford.
