Hi Everyone, I found that there is still no thread about civil engineering programs for 2013 fall admission. If you are an applicant of Structure/Geotechnical/Environmental/Construction Management/Transportation, please share your profile on this topic. Undergraduate Institution: The University of Hong Kong (HKU)

CGPA: 3.91/4.0 (major GPA 4.0)

International Exchange Experience: UC Davis, Imperial College London

Internship Experience: China Three Gorges Corporation; China Development Bank; KPCB; Chinese Academy of Sciences

 

Research Experience: @UC Davis in Fiber Reinforced Polymer materials as Near Surface Mounted Reiforcements for concrete structures for 3 months;  @ UC Berkeley (PRC lab) in Accelerated Pavement Testing using two heavy vehicle simulators (HVS) to investiate the structural performances of HMA vs WMA as a less energy-intensive materials for 3 months; @ Imperial College in study of vibration of girder bridge under a movin vehicle for 2 months (full-time); @ HKU in development of bridge damage detection mechanism using an instrumented passing vehicle for nearly one year.

 

Awards: Dean's Lists; Seveal Scolarships; Undergraduate Research Fellowship; University Research Award (USD 6000)
