purdue status: recommended by program?

Is there anyone who got the message "recommended by program-pending graduate school approval" in the application status?

 

I saw this message few days ago, but I didn't receive any email from department or graduate school yet. So I am wondering if anyone got an official offer after this message.

You're in! I had that message last week and yesterday I received an official letter from the graduate school. The graduate school only approves the final decision to make sure that the departments are not admitting students with less than 3.0's or rejecting students with > 3.8's. In that case the gradaute school would investigate.

My application still indicates "Holding for Review". Hopefully it will change for the better soon.

I have the same concern regarding my status. It has been saying "recommended by program-pending graduate school approval" for three weeks.

I haven't even received any email from the program that I applied to.

Once graduate school approved, will this status change?

 

I would appreciate any advice that you could give me.

Received an email containing that line last week from the chair of the admissions committee and I still kept thinking that maybe the grad school peeps would reject me . I'll remain slightly uncertain until I have the official offer in my hands.

It took two weeks from my "contingent on approval from the Graduate School" email to get the official nod from the Graduate School itself, for Purdue. I wouldn't worry yet.

Since then, they have sent a ton of emails, though. Today, I even got a congratulatory e-card, which was little strange.

That's the thing. The online application has not changed at all! I'm so worried. I just want the official offer to arrive, if it ever arrives...

Should I prepare myself for the chance that the graduate admissions committee might reject me?

I really wouldn't worry too much about. It can take some time for official approval,  I would be shocked if the graduate school did not admit you. Relax, I think the status changes and unofficial emails from DGSs and POIs are meant to make you feel less stressed, not more.

You will get an email when your online app. status changes to admitted. Mine came on the same day as the official admit from the graduate school. Nothing to worry about yet.

Finally I received the official admission letter from graduate school office. It took 15 days since 'recommended...' message for me. A new link appeared in the application status site. Thank you guys, hope good luck!
