This can either be in the form of an unofficial notification from POI or an official email from the department/graduate school. I guess the so called "formal" decisions are about to arrive in a few days according to the last year's results. So, please share your results/communications/thoughts... My application on appyweb says: "If you applied to one of our full-time programs for Autumn 2013, you will receive the admissions decision by the second week of March. Please do not contact our office regarding the review status of your application." There is however one result under "stanford electrical" in the results section. I have the same comment in my application, then assumed that all EE applicants are getting the same comment. I have not heard them back yet. I have not heard anyone being interviewed by the engineering department. Basically, they give their admissions outright. ak48 Posted February 22, 2013 Share Posted February 22, 2013 Huge number of responses on the result page for Stanford. Initial wave of PhD acceptances, followed by many "rejections" (PhD applicants who are offered masters; ie no funding and basically PhD rejection.)
