Haven't Heard ANYTHING

This is just another "It's good to know I'm not the only one" post.

I haven't heard back from any university.
Checked today some decisions here in gradcafe and it seems like everybody got their acceptance letter from one of my options on feb 7th, so...

My boyfriend is also applying to grad school (completely different field), and he has been invited to the interview rounds in 2 programs and got accepted to a third one.
While I'm really happy for him, all that feedback he's got make me more and more anxious and nervous about my chances to get admitted in any program.

Applied 5
Accepted: 0/5
Rejected:0/5

It's even MORE annoying than that when there are no decision reports for my program at my top school. Other programs for that school have been reporting since January, nothing posted about Art History though. So I'm totally in the dark. Are other people getting accepted? Rejected? I don't know

I had an interview right after submission in Dec and got no news of this school ever since.

My second interview comes in Jan and I got rejected last week.

My friend who applied for similar programs, has got four interviews already... I feel anxious about my situation...

I just have to say--Regina_apis, I'm in love with your picture!!! So funny! :D

Also I have not heard a thing except for 1 email from the head of the program I applied to.  -_-

One of my schools has exactly one result posted this year, for the entire school. That's pretty astonishing to me, given that it's a University of [state Name]. Also, given the number of people who post and the number of people I suspect are trolling the results page, it's even more surprising.

The wait is VERY challenging.  I applied ED for 2 programs and have not heard from either of them yet.  the others I already know I will be waiting on for a few months, which means I'll potentially have 2 rejections to sit on for a lonnnng while before I get any positive news.  The one app I put in a bit late (not during ED) so I will wait till spring for that one too.  Thankfully I am still working on undergrad work, so I have something to pay attention to, but I have to refocus because I'm way too focused on where I get in to grad school and not finishing off my last 2 classes for my undergrad.  Gotta get that degree before I can go ANYWHERE!

Despite my signature, I haven't actually been officially told I was rejected anywhere yet, because they haven't told me. The only reason I know anything is because of my adviser. As I said on another page, I applied to Maryland in December and haven't heard a thing from them since, although my adviser tells me that he believes I've probably been rejected (that is my assumed rejection). My other rejection is from my current school. I know the admissions committee met last week. I know that those who were accepted have been called. I know I was waitlisted low enough that I can pretty much say that I've been rejected. I only know that because I broke down and asked my adviser. I don't think the school is planning on telling the wait-listed candidates they've been waitlisted. I don't think that rejections have been sent out either. I don't understand this entire admissions process. Why can't a program send out all decisions together and in a reasonable time?
