phku Posted February 13, 2013 Posted February 13, 2013 (edited) So I found out I got accepted to the DU pure math phd program. Granted, I haven't recieved my formal letter of acceptance yet (apparently its in the mail). Can I expect funding from a school like this? The tuition is insane since it's a private school, so no funding would be the equivalent to a rejection. It seemed strange though because my application was sent to the department and literally 2 or 3 days later I found out I had been accepted -- I called the department about a different matter and was informed. In other words, would it be strange to accept someone so quickly without offering any kind of funding at all? Their TA's are merit based, and according to their website they are pretty competitive. Any information on this matter greatly appreciated, and thanks in advance. Edited February 13, 2013 by phku
echlori Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 Some schools seem to do funding later, perhaps this is one of them...?
