awphenomenally Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 I have read in other threads that some people have heard back on funding from different programs. I am curious to know if your funding was provided in your acceptance letter or afterwards. And when did you complete the FASFA? Was it merit-based or need-based? Sadly, funding makes a huge difference for someone that already has Ivy League-sized student loans (and lives in NYC where saving money doesn't happen for fresh college grads).
sherpa07 Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 Mine have varied. Cornell gave me funding info with acceptance. Maryland gave it a week later. American has yet to tell me. Haven't heard from any others, so that's my take! I think it just varies by school, though it seems to me that most have some sort of delay (relatively short) between acceptance and funding info.
sherpa07 Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 Actually, I take that back - I think there was a week of waiting between when Cornell accepted me and gave me funding. It was in December, so obviously my memory is amazing... so yea, I guess most have a delay of some sort.

av260987 Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 Maxwell said they'll let us know about funding later this spring. No later than April 1 though

CreamTea Posted February 28, 2013 Posted February 28, 2013 (edited) Georgetown sends it with the acceptance email they sent out yesterday. If it doesn't list anything, it means the student did not qualify for funding from the first round but they say you can still get funding later (i.e. if some people don't accept their admissions offer and money is freed up). This is for the MGHD program only. I checked with the admissions office because my email didn't mention anything about funding. Edited February 28, 2013 by ASEANdumpling
