Hi. Northwestern is in my top three for the political theory phd work! I'd love it if peeps could share why they're choosing/might choose Northwestern for whatever field, anything about Chicago/Evanston, etc.

I'm going for historical musicology and chose the school based on the overall reputation of the music program as well as a strong fit with the faculty based on my research interests. Chicago being such an amazing and vibrant city put it over the top. I'm leaning towards finding an apartment in Rogers Park. Its much cheaper than Evanston and I'd rather be in the city in any case. What are everyone's plans for housing?

I will most likely be attending Northwestern in the Fall of 2013! I was accepted; however, I haven't made my final decision yet. I am from Chicago so I am excited about the prospects of living back in the area!
