  1. I'll be attending in their statistics PhD program
  2. Did you tell your boss you were applying? If so its not on you. Anyhow I'm fairly certain if you did quit they'd manage to figure something out.
  3. If you haven't applied to PhD programs at this point your out of luck for Fall 13 for the most part. If you have it doesn't matter so take whichever one you'd rather take. That being said I've heard that real analysis is very useful so I'd go with that one.
  4. Hey guys, I've been accepted into my top choice grad school so I was thinking about what to do this Summer. My program is stats but, I have an option of doing a Simmer REU in applied math. The REU pays $4000 along with free room and board for 10 weeks of the summer. What factors would go into you guys' decision on this?
  5. It wasn't mentioned at all. The letter did say that fewer than 1 in 40 were admitted this year.
  6. Mine was in by late October although my late rec letter wasn't submitted until the day before the deadline.
  7. Wow, my top choice and accepted this early. This is amazing.
  8. I don't know whether to laugh or cry right now. I just googled my name and 4 things came up. 1)My old myspace 2)A guy who shares my name in a gay sailor outfit 3)Aforementioned guys twitter 4)An old high school wrestling article about me.. Hopefully if I'm googled they'll be able to tell who is who.
  9. Wow way to make me feel nervous. I've applied and haven't heard anything. Not the same case at all but, anything would be nice by this point.
  10. At my undergrad we always used SAS. It's pretty expensive though.
  11. I didn't study at all. Wound up making a 164Q/159V/4 A
