UC Davis?

Anybody heard from Davis? I'm a bit confused because in the past years they have sent out all admissions decisions in late January/early February and this year, there has been 1 decision posted from early Feb. and nothing else.

 

Their website reads: "Generally, most applications submitted by the January 15th deadline will be reviewed prior to mid-February, though some applications are held for later consideration. Most decisions are communicated by early spring."

 

"The Graduate Group in Computer Science holds a graduate recruitment event in early March of each year for admitted Ph.D. applicants. The Department of Computer Science invites qualified applicants who have been recommended for admission to spend a day meeting faculty and current graduate students, touring the research facilities and familiarizing themselves with the Davis community. The department reimburses some students for a portion of their travel expense. Information about this event is sent to invited students during mid-February."

Welp, looks like acceptances are out today. Never mind

So did you get in?, I'm waiting to hear from Davis also, they only told me that decision will be made by the end of may. That's way too late, so I guess they're leaving me for the end in case everybody else declines .

 

PS: Are you going to the recruitment day? When is it going to be?

I have received the offer on Feb 20th. And bless you

Is there anyone else here that went to the recruiting weekend, but had not yet received funding? If so, have you heard back yet? My acceptance letter said financial support decisions would be made after the recruiting event, but did not specify a time frame.

I couldn't attend the recruiting weekend. I did have some professors contact me though and give me a verbal guarantee that if I take them as advisors I would be offered funding.
