Somebody posted an admit today though. What happen to them? I don't hear from them, either. It might be due to financial crisis. The professor I contacted said that "you are applying in the worst year ever, probably no financial aid for international student, even the professor has his paycheck cut off". I also got an acceptance sometime in early Feb, with full fellowship for all of my grad study there. Sorry to tell you this, but their visit day was today also. I emailed them asking about my status and got this reply: The GATS login tracker system (http://gats.ics.uci.edu/tracker/) provides ICS applicants the opportunity to check if all their supporting materials/official test scores have been received, as well as, view their current application status. GATS Tracker: your last login: 04/01/2009 11:08am (148 previous logins) Your GATS Tracker indicates that your file is COMPLETE and under review. The Admissions Committee began reviewing applications after the January 15, 2009 application deadline. Acceptance decisions are ongoing from February until May. Currently, the Admissions Committee is still in the process of reviewing and making decisions on applications. We do not know when a decision will be made on your application or when the decision process will be complete. Please continue to check your GATS application tracker for all future status information. All updates and application decisions will be posted immediately to the GATS tracker. If your GATS tracker does not reflect any recent changes, your file is still under review. ICS Graduate Office This was around 2 weeks ago. I still havent received any reply. The admin lady I spoke to said that they checked the GATS system for status updates when students called to check up. Which sounds pretty damn bogus. I wish I had known they'd be like this.
