So, I've been obsessively checking the portal for my last application. The application was due Feb. 1st, and since it has been received the status has said "Your Application is Complete, no determination has been made at this time."

But, it changed today to: "Your application file has been sent for graduate review. If you have questions, please contact your graduate coordinator. Graduate program contact information can be found at the Graduate Programs website."

They cant really have JUST sent it to the graduate program right? According to the website notifications start going out on the 10th and continue to the end of the month. I mean, I guess its possible, but it seems really late. Is that how you guys interpreted that?

I applied to a program on December 15th 2012 and the status hasn't changed at ALL since then (still sitting at 'Ready for Review'). That said, I wouldn't be surprised that it took them a little over a month to send yours over for review, as it has been almost 3 times as long for some of mine. Doesn't seem 'really late' at all if they say they'll be out by the end of the month either.

It does seem late to just send it to the department for review, but I actually got an email from one of the programs I applied to saying that they just sent my application for review last week, so I guess it's not all that uncommon. I wouldn't worry about it too much. At least you know they are reviewing it now.

I guess I will have to wait and see. When I first read it I hoped that OhMySocks was correct. The wording seems a bit vague. I didnt expect the status to change until a decision had been made. If they just began reviewing it the department must be on a different time line from last year. I cant imagine decisions will go out on Monday if they arent done looking over the applications.

ahhhhhh. The wait continues.
