paige_elizabeth10 Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 Hey everyone, As acceptances begin rolling in and folks are starting to solidify their plans for next fall, I figured I would make a thread where we can post about finding housing/roommates. Or we can talk about the pains of finding housing in general I will be attending UW in the fall and am currently looking at apartments/houses in the Seattle area. That said, I need some roommates and I would love to live with some fellow MSWers! Post here or PM me if you are interested
MindyMSW Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 My roommate might be moving out during the summer so we would need a replacement if you need a place during June-beginning of September!

Have you found out any info on recommended/cheap/awesome areas or anything? Are you planning on going to those info sessions on the 4th and 5th?
paige_elizabeth10 Posted March 12, 2013 Author Posted March 12, 2013 Hey Paige, I might also be headed to UW and looking for housing. Have you found out any info on recommended/cheap/awesome areas or anything? Are you planning on going to those info sessions on the 4th and 5th? Awesome! I've been looking on craigslist/uloop to find some affordable places-- Seattle is pricey but I think I have found some options in NE Seattle. When I come back to WA for spring break I'm gonna spend a lot of time scoping out the city. And yeah I am going to try to make it to those info sessions! I am also hoping to meet with some folks at the SW building over spring break and get some tips on housing.

That's a great idea, asking them for advice. Perhaps I'll see you at those info sessions! Where are you in school right now?

Yeah, MindyMSW actually told me about uloop I'm in school at Willamette University in Salem, OR--about 4 hours away from Redmond, WA which is where I'm from and, conveniently, is only 20 minutes East of Seattle So I have grown up around Seattle but have never considered living in the city until now!

Nice! I live in Portland right now, so I'm familiar with Willamette. It's a great school =)
