Would have loved Western if I didn't have the house near ECU, and my hubby has to find a new job near school, so I wasn't too keen on living in Asheville and commuting that long to classes every day! Would have loved Western if I didn't have the house near ECU, and my hubby has to find a new job near school, so I wasn't too keen on living in Asheville and commuting that long to classes every day! It just sucks that its at a standstill until April 16th. Its frustrating not knowing if I am going to be attending anywhere. My boss keeps asking me if I will be here for the extended school year to provide services to my kiddos, but I have no idea because if I get into gradschool far away from home (Minnesota) I plan on moving home for a few weeks in summer with my family and friends cause I live about 5 hours away from everyone now and then move to the place I get into in the middle of the summer so I still have time to look for a job. jdslp Posted March 26, 2013 Share Posted March 26, 2013 (edited) I'm in the same boat as being "waitlisted." Soo nervewracking b/c this is my top choice school. I need to know soon if I'm getting into school this year or if I should start job searching again. Thank you to those people who have notified the school about turning down an acceptance. Although I really hope a spot goes to me (lol), either way I hope they go to well-deserved students. If you are not interested, you can still email me and let me know, or just wait until the deadline passes. A popular question at this point is rankings on the waitlist. We handle that by sending out information to waitlist candidates indicating a block on the waitlist, as in, you are top 5, 6-10, 11-15, etc. There is no way of knowing how far into the waitlist we will go, but typically 3-5 may drop during the summer.
