Got into Masters of Engineering at Columbia after getting denied for Ph.D. There is no allocated scholarship or fellowship at Columbia for masters students. I'm wondering how  much will this Nicola Tesla Engineering Scholar title will fetch.

Are there people around who knows about this?

I do know that there isn't any scholarship tied to the title but, I'm expecting some kind of funds as I was awarded this title. Although it all depends upon how prestigious this title is. :(

Took the words right out of my mouth, budgie. I'd love to have that written on my CV.

I'm granted that title too. I don't know any other people who got this title. Guess it is rare. :)

Hi,

bringing this topic back up...

I also got into the MS program after denied for PhD.

$2,500 for second and third semesters with duties like peer tutoring and research. I think it's better than not having anything at all, but I am sure lots of us were awarded due to the fact that we applied for PhD but got into MS program. Usually students may apply it when they are already at Columbia, I do appreciate them awarding incoming excellent ms students.
